人文科課程特色 Humanities Curriculum

 

人文科旨在幫助學生瞭解自己、社會和世界,促進個人健康發展,以成為具有信心、知識與責任感的人才,為家庭、社區、國家及世界謀求幸福。本科透過適切的學與教活動和策略,讓學生發展及應用共通能力(例如:創造力、溝通能力、批判性思考能力和協作能力),以建構新的知識和加深對事物的了解,並幫助學生培養正面的價值觀和積極的態度。

 

本校把人文科分為中國歷史科、歷史科、地理科與經濟科。本科著重教授學生學習技能,並鼓勵學生藉探究式學習建構知識和建立積極的生命價值觀。本科教學策略有效而多元,透過分組活動、協作學習、自主學習、電子學習等不同的課堂活動,協助學生增進本科的知識與技能。另外,透過多元化的課後延伸活動、海外交流、校外學術研習計劃及比賽,提升學生的學習興趣以及擴闊其視野。除此之外,本科亦會跨科協作籌辦全校性活動,例如社科週,透過不同類型的遊戲、活動、比賽、演講等活動,提升學生對人文科的學習動機。

 

Humanities Curriculum

Humanities are designed to help students understand themselves, the society and the world. It aims to help students lead a healthy personal development and become a person with confidence, knowledge and responsibility so that they can make contributions to their family, community, country and even the world. Through appropriate learning and teaching activities and strategies, we help students develop and apply generic skills (e.g. creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration), build positive values and attitudes, gain new knowledge and deepen their understanding.

 

Humanities are divided into Chinese History, History, Geography and Economics. Humanities studies focus on teaching students learning skills and encourage the use of exploratory learning to help students build knowledge and establish positive life values. Through group activities, collaborative learning, self-learning, e-learning and different classroom activities, we help students gain knowledge and skills. In addition, via diversified after-school activities, overseas exchanges, off-campus seminars and competitions, we enhance students' interest in learning and broaden their horizons. In addition, the Humanities Department organize whole-school activities such as Social Science Week. Students' learning motivation is enhanced through different types of games, activities, competitions and speeches.
