5A Chan Yik Chun, Philip, Chief English Ambassador

Being a Chief English Ambassador is one of the most invaluable experiences of my secondary school life. It not only allows me to contribute to the English Department but also shapes me into a more confident leader. 

The most memorable experience was co-organising the external English Filming Competition with another chairperson and the vice-chairperson. From scheduling filming sessions to coordinating student helpers across different forms, every task was a brand-new learning opportunity. I also realised that the best decisions come from taking opinions from different perspectives into account. This experience has undoubtedly equipped me for future challenges. 

Lastly, I am extraordinarily grateful for the support and assistance provided by the teachers-in-charge and all the English Ambassadors. Without their persistent support and encouragement, I would have struggled to overcome challenges. I sincerely appreciate everything they have done for me. 

5A Chan Yan Ki, Chief English Ambassador

Being selected as a Chief English Ambassador has been one of the most transformative experiences of my secondary school journey. This prestigious role has given me the extraordinary opportunity to serve our English school community while developing essential skills that will benefit me in my future studies and career.

Helping teachers introduce our English curriculum to the parents of P.6 students on Parents’ Day was a memorable and enriching experience. It gave me the chance to work closely with both teachers and classmates to present the key features of our English program clearly and confidently. This meaningful opportunity allowed me to enhance my communication and leadership skills, as I needed to explain information effectively while addressing parents' questions and concerns. Through this experience, I learned that good leadership involves not only guiding others but also listening actively and being adaptable. 

Throughout this remarkable journey, my deepest gratitude goes to our dedicated teachers-in-charge and my fellow English Ambassadors. Their unwavering support, patient guidance, and constant encouragement provided me with invaluable assistance during several challenges. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
