4A Ma Lap Shun 

I’m honored to be given a chance to join the “Jockey Club Marine Plastic Challenge Education Program”. During the activity, we were given a challenge, which required us to collect enough clues to identify the main pollutants in the ocean.  Besides, we took a look at the boats responsible for cleaning the harbor. The boats collect pollutants from the ocean and recycle them. After the activity, I learnt much more about the negative effects of plastic on the ocean and marine creatures, as well as the ways to reduce plastic in our daily lives. It was a very meaningful program, and I benefited a lot from it. 

 

4A Yu Yan Ching 

This program deepened my understanding of marine pollution. By collecting clues about ocean pollutants and observing harbor cleanup boats, I witnessed how plastic waste devastates marine ecosystems. The experience made me realize our daily choices directly impact the environment. Additionally, I learned practical ways to reduce plastic use, such as refusing disposable items and recycling properly. Most importantly, it inspired me to become more environmentally responsible.
