校園環境 孕育雋才 PoMa Culture

　

保馬校園不僅是一個傳授知識的地方，而是讓學生盡情發揮的舞台，更是陶冶情操的芳園，潤澤心靈的家園。

　

（一）校園文化 · SOFTWARE

「人類塑造環境，環境陶冶人類」，學生置身校園，潛移默化，漸漸受校園文化的薰陶濡染。視藝廊、光榮榜和保馬星光大道等建設，讓學生在互相欣賞和備受肯定的環境下，自信地成長。名言橫幅和英語金句營造濃厚的學習氣氛。保馬也是著重環保的綠色校園，青蔥處處，更有不同的環保設備。

校園的一磚一瓦是師生共享的，保馬學生與老師共建校園，「油牆假期」、「周會搬椅」和「美化校園 」（包括學校外牆、圖書館、多媒體學習室、健身室、數學資源室、化學室、地理室、美術室和輔導室）等計劃，培養學生的責任感和使命感，也讓保馬成為學生的第二個家。 

　

（二）師生情 · HEARTWARE

保馬是學生的家，保馬老師就是學生的父母，深厚的師生情是學生成長的支柱。透過定時的師生共聚、「#WeChat@POMA」、師生共晉午餐、學生輔導和午間康樂等活動，讓保馬師生緊繫一起。

　

（三）校園學習設施 · HARDWARE

2005年8月，馬錦明博士紀念大樓落成，建築面積增加3000多平方米，全校具備超逾千禧校舍的設施。保馬的設施完備，全面支援學生的需要，促進高效學習。學習設施包括語文藝術室、中國文化展覽室、數學資源室、化學實驗室、生物實驗室、物理實驗室、綜合科學實驗室、地理室、電腦3D打印室、電腦輔助教學室、視覺藝術室、多媒體學習中心、家政室、音樂室、綜藝舞台、舞蹈室、學生活動室等等。本校已建立覆蓋所有課室的無線網絡，優化電子學習，以方便學生使用流動電腦裝置進行電子學習；同時優化小食部及自修室，設立多用途室內場館、多用途室內舞台、閱讀廊及中六專用自修室，讓學生在完善設備下追求卓越。

　

本校亦增設生涯規劃室，為學生提供生涯諮商，有助他們訂立人生目標。另外本校亦已增設「長跑電子晶片計時計圈數據庫系統」以及健身室，健身室內設有跑步機、太空漫步機及可連線比賽的單車機，以運動推動正向教育。為推動S.T.E.A.M.及視藝教育，本校更增設了創客空間、多媒體學習中心及視藝展覽室；並優化圖書館，推動閱讀風氣，促進學習。同時，與學生「共創、共建、共管」心理健康中心及休憩長廊，推動正向教育及心理健康。此外，學校於2021年獲賽馬會撥款70萬，興建心理健康中心（心岸）及休憩長廊，促進師生及家長的身心靈健康。同年，學校亦獲優質教育基金撥款共80萬，增設家長教育資源中心及改建音樂室為音樂創意空間，分別推動家長教育及數碼音樂教育。

　

學校於2022年改建7樓為室內運動場館，發展多元化的運動項目，培養運動興趣及習慣。另外，除了視藝室及視藝廊以外，學校增設了藝術展覽空間，展示學生藝術成果及推動生涯規劃。本校亦增設了歷史文化館，推動香港深度遊，培養學生對香港、中國及世界各地文化及歷史的認識，成為才德兼備的世界公民。此外，新設的POMA café 以跨組別合作形式，推動吃得好（Eat Well）及生涯規劃。

　

 　

Creating a conductive learning environment to nurture talents

　

POMA campus is not only a place to impart knowledge, it is also a stage where students shine and a home that cultivates temperament and inspires our minds.

　

1.    Software

“We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us," said Sir Winston Churchill. Our school culture helps to cultivate students’ values and develop their confidence. Through the displays in our Visual Arts Corner, Hall of Fame and POMA Avenue of Stars, students’ achievements are highly acclaimed. Meanwhile, students can always get their creative juices flowing with their collaboration in the design and renovation of school facilities. All these cultivate students' sense of responsibility and make POMA a second home for students.

　

2.    Heart ware

The establishment of close rapport between students and teachers is of paramount importance in students’ growth. With the implementation of a wide range of counselling activities, a harmonious teacher-student relationship is developed.

 　

3.    Hardware

After the Ma Kam Ming Memorial Building was completed in 2005, the building area was increased by more than 3000 square meters. Our school is well-equipped with facilities of the millennium school standard to support students’ effective learning. Learning facilities include Language Arts Room, Chinese Language Room, Mathematics Resources Room, Library, Science Laboratories, Geography Room, 3D Printer Room, Computer Rooms, Visual Arts Room, Multi-Media Learning Centre, Home Economics Room, Music Room, Auditorium, Dancing Room and Student Activities Room etc.

 　

There is full Wi-Fi coverage in all classrooms to facilitate e-learning and the use of mobile computer devices. The tuck shop and Self-study Room are refurbished. Indoor Multi-purpose Room, Indoor Multi-purpose Stage, Reading Corner and F.6 Self-study Room were provided for students to pursue excellence with comprehensive school facilities.

 　

A Career Planning Room was added to provide career counseling and assistance for life goal setting. As sports play a vital role in promoting positive education, chip timing technology is adopted in the training of long-distance running. Moreover, our Fitness Room is equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines and interconnected exercise bikes for competitions. All these school facilities are to support students’ development needs. A Makerspace is also established to promote S.T.E.A.M. education and visual arts. The school library is also optimized to create reading atmosphere and facilitate learning. Poasis has also been established to promote positive education and mental health. In addition, a Parent Education Center and POMA Studio will be set up to promote parent education and digital music production respectively.

　

In 2022, an indoor sports center will be built on the seventh floor to facilitate a wide range of sports programs and cultivate students’ interests in sports. In addition to the Visual Arts Room and Visual Arts Gallery, the school has created an art exhibition space to showcase students' artistic achievements and promote career planning. Moreover, a Historical and Cultural Center has also been set up to promote in-depth cultural visits and deepen students' understanding of culture and history. Furthermore, the new POMA café promotes Eat Well and career planning through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
